Our Story
The idea for Kankakee Valley Homestead started in 2014 back when Farmer Tom
was working at a high-needs school and was witness to impacts of food injustice.
We took that experience to heart and in 2017 moved back to his family farm and began the transition from conventional row crop to Certified Naturally Grown vegetable production.
Since then we've expanded to almost 100 acres of vegetables, livestock & feed, and our famous gourmet popcorn. Still grown by Farmer Tom.
